Evening Stroll in Montreal (Le Boulanger)
Evening Stroll in Montreal (Le Boulanger)
In this artwork, I capture a moment in Montreal where a woman is seen walking along a brick building, her pink umbrella and bag adding vibrant splashes of color against the backdrop of a rainy evening. The glowing yellow windows behind her create a warm contrast, illuminating the otherwise cool, damp surroundings. Even in rain and clouds, there is beauty; life is so full of unexpected moments that shine through and bring brightness to those who are sad and feel gloomy.
This piece was inspired by the everyday beauty found in urban life, particularly in my home city of Montreal. I wanted to convey a sense of movement and atmosphere, highlighting the interplay between the city's architectural elements and its inhabitants. The vibrant colors and impressionistic style aim to evoke the emotions and transient nature of city life, inviting viewers to pause and appreciate the fleeting moments that make up our daily experiences. Through this artwork, I hope to remind others that beauty can be found in the most unexpected places, even on a rainy day, and bring brightness to those who are sad and feel gloomy.
